Special AMD Session

Tonight I attended a special meeting of AMD held in Beavercreek with the Sovereign Grand Master David Dixon Goodwin present as the guest speaker. The room was packed with around 75 total in attendance. Our Grand High Priest, Keith Green, was also present He gave a talk about the York Rite and some additional information about the Knights Templars. PGM Mike Himes, Superintendent of the South for Ohio, was present along with several former Grand Presiding Officers.

Shrine Parade

Today we went to Greenville Ohio for their Annie Oakley Days parade. They had a good turnout and everyone there seemed to have a good time. I also have been doing a lot of Grand Chapter planning this month/ Luckily after a couple of failed tries to negotiate a deal, we have a contract now for the Grand Chapter Reception next year and the Grand Family meeting the same day.

Dayton Court Jesters

Tonight was our quarterly dinner meeting for the Billiken Club at T.J. Chumpps in Fairborn. The turnout was somewhat light but the fellowship and jokes were not. I guess the important guys were present.

GHP Reception 7th District

Today was the Grand High Priest Reception in Findlay for the 7th District. As always they had a Royal Arch Foundation auction to benefit Adopt America and had a program on the group prior to dinner. Our Grand High Priest Keith Green added a few comments.

Ohio DeMolay Conclave Installation

Today was the installation of new officers and it was slightly unique for Ohio as the EO's sons were' installed as State Master Councilor and State Scribe after being elected by the DeMolay's. Our new SMC is Brady Woodworth and the new State Scribe is Brock Woodworth. In addition, the new State Deputy Master is Ryan Cope who was the outgoing elected State Scribe. 

Finally Home

Well finally home from Shrine Imperial and got a new phone so I can once again be connected. Since my old phone is dead and any pictures I took at Imperial are gone with the phone, no pictures from Florida. In addition my car is in the shop being fixed but my sister loaned me one of hers so I could head to DeMolay Conclave at Kent State. I’ll probably be driving it the next few days since not sure how fast the car will be fixed.

Well I'll be a little harder to get in touch with for a week or so

It seems as though my phone decided to go for a swim so until I get a new one, email me instead of texting or calling since I won't be able to get text or calls with no phone. And just to be extra nice and timely my brakes are giving me problems on my car which just had the air conditioning go out and needs fixed. I'm glad problems only come in threes and then you get three good things to come your way....I'm waiting for those three good things ...maybe one could be winning the lottery.

Greeters Meeting

Today was our Shrine Greeters meeting. Since they changed the time to coincide with a breakfast they are having at the Shrine, I was able to attend. Like most groups we are in the process of trying to regroup, get new leaders and new members. This changed helped out this month as we had several members present.
